: Software

We should state up front that TOCC does not own or license CCPM software, and we derive no financial return from the sale of any such product. It s our experience, however, that software support is essential to almost any CCPM implementation. The principles of CCPM were defined as early as 1990, the first successful implementations of any kind did not occur until 1996 when supporting software became available. CCPM software is needed to cope with the size, complexity and uncertainty of today's projects, and organizations.

In most organizations, managers at all levels suffer today from a lack of reliable information for decision-making. Whether it is optimizing a project portfolio, assigning priorities to tasks, or managing risk, so much of project management must be done by "feel." In providing reliable information to managers, CCPM software delivers the information that is needed to make critical decisions. Typically when managers see the information that is now available to them, its use seems less like a "required change" and more like the answers to their prayers. CCPM software is a facilitator of change and mechanism for ingraining the new processes in the organization. It makes the principles both more tangible, so they can be readily applied to existing decisions, and makes processes more sustainable, because they do not depend on the experience of a few individual.

There are three products available that support CCPM to varying degrees. TOCC has worked with each of these and we continually evaluate them and monitor the market for new ones. As part of every implementation we insure that the chosen software is properly installed and configured to your needs. All related training and maintenance support is provided to insure that the system works smoothly and without interruption.

Our aim is to deliver the greatest value to our customers, and at present there is only one product we can endorse without reservationConcerto from Speed to Market. It is the most advanced and robustproviding the broadest functionality and offering the best price/ value proposition in the market.

Concerto supports decision making across all levels of the organization for project and resource planning, execution, and process improvement.
