NASA names TOC Center to train Project Management Experts

We are very proud that NASA awarded the contract to implement Critical Chain project management in the ASCAC Group, to The TOC Center.

CHICAGO, IL.September 27, 2001The TOC Center, Inc. a leading provider of Critical Chain Project Management solutions, announced today that NASA Langley Research Center has selected it to provide training and implementation support for the deployment of the TOC Critical Chain solution in NASA.

The TOC Center will install critical chain software, educate and train NASA personnel, and provide on-going consulting support over their next year to ensure the successful migration to the critical chain project management methodology. This disciplined project planning, scheduling and execution solution is being deployed within the Aerospace Systems Concepts and Analysis Competency (ASCAC) group based at NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia.

"We are honored to be the vendor of choice for the ASCAC at NASA Langley Research Center," said Robert Fox, President of The TOC Center, "Particularly in the light of NASA's reputation for setting extraordinary quality and expertise requirements for its vendors."

"The inability to deal with complexity, variability and resource contention in a multi-project environment is the most significant cause for projects failing. Adopting critical chain techniques will allow much improved project control. I am also pleased that ASCAC recognized the inherent benefits independent integrators such as The TOC Center offer."

Mr. Fox pioneered the Theory of Constraints principles, which are the basis for the critical chain methodology, with Dr. Eli Goldratt.
